Thank you, Mary
A big thank you to Mary Gregory, Youth Librarian who will be retiring on Friday, February 17th. Mary has shown her love of children's literature over the past five and a half years and has enthusiastically passed this on to the young people of our community. Please come to an open house at the library on Tuesday, February 14th from 4:30pm to 5:30pm to help celebrate her retirement. Cookies and milk will be served.
Library AdditionThank you for supporting the special levy which passed with over 65% in favor. Thank you also to the Friends of the Library who worked very hard to inform Nevada residents of the opportunity to vote. The addition will expand and consolidate the children’s area, improve accessibility with a family restroom and drive up drop box, and include small study rooms for those who need a quiet place to work. It will be a greener building which will save money over time.The Library Board of Trustees is in the process of gathering a building committee, working on information to send to architects, and setting a timeline for the construction.
