Student Clerk Openings:

The Nevada Public Library will have three high school student clerk positions opening up this summer (and continuing throughout the school year). Application forms are available at the library or by clicking on the About Us tab and choosing Employment.

Are you looking for more than just a job? Put your skills to work in a hub of the community as a Nevada Public Library Student Clerk! If you love interacting with people and you’re great at noticing things that other people miss, this is the job for you. You’ll help library patrons by checking items in and out, assisting with finding books and other library materials, and answering a variety of questions. You’ll also get a first look at new library materials as you prep them for the shelves, and you’ll put away materials after they’ve been checked in. Shifts are after school until 8:00 PM 1-2 evenings a week and occasional day time hours on Saturdays.

Return application with a resume and cover letter to: Nevada Public Library, 631 K Ave., Nevada, IA 50201. For more information contact the library at 515-382-2628 or amanda@nevada.lib.ia.us. Applications are due by March 30, 2019.
