Telescope

The library has in its collection an Orion SkyQuest XT8 Dobsonian Reflector telescope, which is good for looking at the moon and stars.

• Once you have completed the required training, you will be able to check out the library's telescope.
• Training sessions last about an hour and are usually scheduled in spring and fall. Call the library (515-382-2628) to register. 
• Check out is for 2 days at a time.
• There is no fee to check out the telescope.
• You must be at least 18 years old to check out the telescope
