Telescope

The library has in its collection an Orion SkyQuest XT8 Dobsonian Reflector telescope, which is good for looking at the moon and stars.

• Once you have completed the required training, you will be able to check out the library's telescope.
• Currently, we do not have a trainer to conduct training sessions on the telescope. We are hoping to find one in the future. If you know or someone you know could assist with this please contact the library at 515-382-2628 and request to speak with the Director or Assistant Director.
• Check out is for 2 days at a time.
• There is no fee to check out the telescope.
• You must be at least 18 years old to check out the telescope
