Updated on Friday, April 3rd, 2020:

To support public health and safety during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the Nevada Public Library is closed until further notice. Please understand that this decision was not made lightly or out of fear, but out of caution and consideration of the health of our community and our staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Library staff will be happy to answer your questions and assist you
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm via email (npl@nevada.lib.ia.us), text message (515-219-8768), or our Facebook page.

We will automatically extend due dates and waive applicable fines on items that are checked out until we reopen. Our drop boxes will be closed, so please do not return items. We will not be taking donations until we reopen.

Wi-Fi is available 24/7 outside of the library building.

During the week of April 6th-10th, the library will be staffed and we can assist you by phone (515-382-2628) and with curbside pickup for new materials. Please see our Facebook page for the latest updates on this. In the event of a shelter-in-place order, the library will not be staffed.
