Babes in Arms is designed especially for pregnant moms (and expectant dads) and for parents and their infants or pre-walkers.
Babes in Arms is designed especially for pregnant moms (and expectant dads) and for parents and their infants or pre-walkers. Parents are a baby’s first and most important teacher. Recent research shows that everything a child learns about language and communication in the first few years of life will determine the difficulty or ease with which he learns to read and write at school. In this pre-literacy program, parents or caregivers will learn rhymes, finger plays, songs and lullabies to use with their infant. Each week, previously learned material will be reviewed and new material will be added. Parents will be playfully interacting with their infants during this time and will also have time to share helpful tips and topics of interest with the others there. Each parent or caregiver will receive a copy of the featured songs and rhymes.
Babes in Arms will meet Wednesdays at 11:00 am and will run approximately 30 minutes. Sign-up is required.
